In April 2022, our team of sound recordists drove up to Inverness, Scotland, for Fresh Audio North’s first multi camera TV shoot of the year - The Traitors. Studio Lambert was working with both NBC and BBC for eight weeks of filming in the Scottish Highlands and our team, listed below, were ready!

Sound Operators - Max Berridge, Andy Cahill, Steven Llewellyn, Ross Abell.
Sound Assistants - Callum Norfolk, Manon Peregrine-Lewis, Chris Pramthai-White, Liam Pellegrini.
Sound Recordists in Scotland
Our crew of location sound recordists specialises in hidden mic and as always, we had to be efficient and prepared to facilitate the various audio requirements needed for this shoot. Contributors would be taking part in various reality scenes and interviews around the castle, whilst off-rig we would be setting up a multi-channel portable cart system for a cast of over 20 people! We devised a plan for the action packed challenge ahead, ran antennas to cover sound across the new daily location, provided audio feeds to the gallery, and drafted contingencies for the ever-changing weather conditions.
The Traitors was a pleasure to work on and has had great reviews since its release. We filmed for two months up in the Scottish Highlands doing back to back series, and the Fresh Audio team put in a great shift on some very long days. Our sound recordists and assistants were in charge of mics on rig for reality scenes, whilst off rig we set up the challenges in lochs, farms, churches and estates around northern Scotland. Having been recently recommissioned for season two, it was an honour for Fresh Audio North to be asked back to film another season of the ultimate reality game of trust and treachery!
